Track maintenance work - which ones are more essential?
Hi all, for my SR3 XX, I was wondering what work to be done every certain number hours.
I heard that I need engine and Quaife fluid change every 8 hours.
My track shop also told me that I need to bleed both the brake and clutch system and retorque the suspension every 8 hours.
However, I was quoted $1,177 for this "track prep" (copy pasted below) and as much as I would like everything done, I would like which ones are more "essential." This has to be done every 8 hours and I don't feel like spending $1177 every time, but at the same time I don't want to skip maintenance tasks that shorten the lifespan of the engine or other parts.
I would like the forum's input on this. Thank you very much.
They call this a "race prep" and includes the following:

Posted by: @meatman6 hrs to change the fluid's, look over the car and wash it? I can do that at home in 2-3 max.I would agree that those fluids should be done every 8 hours so what you are actually paying for is their experience in spotting worn out parts. If you do not have enough experience, it's money well spent. If you are slightly handy working on cars maybe having them do it at the beginning of the year for the once over, then doing it yourself for the rest of the season.
Unfortunately I have zero experience working on cars. If I'm not actually racing and just doing practice runs how many hours would I be able to stretch it out? 10 hours, 12 hours or more?
@solarium that's a decision you have to make with the cost vs risk.
Fluids are a heck of a lot cheaper then rebuilding and engine/gearbox or the GDU.... Trust me 😉
It's all good until that moment it isn't.
