Hello Im a new owner of rs3 recently restaured but the owner said they broke the left side drive shaft and replaced it . As they have same age and milleage I suggest to replace the right one too before it brakes.

So I was wondering if there is a cross reference with others cars  or not ? maybe I can replace the complete shaft or only the 2 CV joints only ?

thanks for helping.

@nico-fr-18 SR3 uses NGK U2016 (NGK48056) coil pack. This coil pack is also used on Opel Astra (2000-2005).

Replacing the right side proactively makes sense. Check if just the CV joints can be swapped or if a full shaft is needed.

my shafts looks ok they have new cv joints but the right one (the long one) needs   few degrees of rotation before to engage. its hard to explain I will try to find the good words.I see that the tripods 22 teeth are easy to find.

But I dont know witch model of lobro it is (maye ford escort ?) as I didnt removed my transmission shafts yet to check the exacts dimensions to source a correspondance.

Because oem shaft is very expensive...Im surprised nobody tried to find a cross reference.
