Hi apologies if this is in the wrong place. First time posting but the most unfortunate thing happened and I managed to hit a tyre barrier. Was weirdest thing, braking at same point as every other lap but on my last lap there was nothing car just didn’t slow down. What then resulted was a gravel trap that did nothing and a head on impact (well hitting slightly on the front left corner) with the tyre barrier. Fortunately there doesn’t look to be any damage to the chassis.

I may have found a new front clamshell. I’ve put up a picture of my poor car that I’m hoping to get back on track as soon as possible.

I’m after a crashbox, front left upright, splitter and probably a few other little bits like splitter stays etc. I may also need a front clamshell if the one I’ve found doesn’t pan out.

I’m really hoping someone will be able to help me out. I’m in the U.K.

Should also mention that the car is a Clubsport but has been upgraded to pro sport and has the centre wheel nuts. Don’t know if that helps at all. I can get pictures of the upright if required.

have spoken with Radical and will be sending them an email with pictures to see if they can help.

Hi Alastair @clubsport078, I am sorry to hear about your crash but it is great to hear that you are alright. I am glad to hear that you reached out to Radical directly, they should be able to help a bit.  I believe that the Uprights used on the SR1 can be used on the Clubsport and Prosport.  I understand a company called Archangels in the in the UK still makes Clubsport / Prosport body parts so they should be able to help. It is also worth reaching out to Josh Smith because he has a lot of knowledge and access to parts.

@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com thanks very much. Yh I’m absolutely fine literally only a small cut on my shin car did its job perfectly.

I’ve been it touch with Josh and he put me I touch with Neil of Corinium Motorsport who has a splitter and may be able to get me a crashbox fabricated (hopefully). He also has front clams if the one I’m going to pickup on Saturday doesn’t pan out.

  • the upright seems like it is going to be my biggest headache. I think it could be straightened. If they are the same as the SR1 that would widen the field a bit. I have a mate with one I’ll get it off and take it along the road to compare. The guys at radical said bits from the SR1 are cross compatible.
  • let’s hope it gets back on track soon

Hey, so just a quick update.

I have managed to source a crash box which is getting fabricated for me and also a splitter. Going to look at/pick up a new front clamshell tomorrow.

have been advised and looking through the radical pets catalogues the SR1 upright will fit. Part number SU0036.

cheers

Alastair
