I'm new to radicals ... looking to buy one and I have heard numerous different engine rebuild timing from 40 hours (what appears in the manual) all the way up to 80 hours ... I assume it is a totality of the circumstances review, but just looking for more practical guidance from those who own one. Is it 40 or closer to 80? Thank you.
@pfichter Hi Paul for the generation motor in the RSX the reccomended rebuild is 40 hours for both 1340 & 1500. With the 1340 though most people do 80 hours successfully. We have cars available, give me a call and can get you sorted and answer other questions you may have better 631-974-4379

@grouparacing hi, what are the main components done during the rebuild?
what is the main concern, I am aware of the bearing in the output shaft being an issue, presume also rings and bearings, possibly valve springs and a general check over?
