Radical SR3 chassis number 8 is a very special car for many reasons. It was built in February 2002 and is one of the few SR3’s that came with the Single Vehicle Approval (SVA) kit which allows this car to be registered for street use in the UK. Another thing that makes this car unique is that it was one of only two SR3s to come from the factory with a Kawasaki engine (chassis 8 had an 1100cc engine and Chassis 16 had a 1000cc engine). At some point the Kawasaki 1100 engine was replaced with a fuel injected Suzuki 1300cc Hayabusa with a Rotrex supercharger from TTS Performance which produces ~350 hp. In March 2021 the car was located in the U.K and is owned by Tom Fowler. Tom purchased the car in 2020 from a family friend who owned the car for ~8-10 years. Tom’s friend purchased the car from an owner in Scotland and the car was supercharged at that time.
