Radical SR8 chassis number 93 was converted to an electric car called the SRZero. The car was developed by a student led project at the Imperial College London know as Racing Green Engineering. The goal of the SRZero project was to demonstrate the potential of zero emissions cars and was put to the test in July 2010 when it was driven the full 16,000 miles of the Pan-American Highway from Argentina to Alaska. The car was displayed at the Autosport International show in January 2010 and is powered by two Axial Flux motors made by EVO Electric and a 56kWh Li-ion battery, which produced 400hp, and can reportedly go 0-60 in 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 118 miles per hour, and provides a range of 250 miles.
