So, the upholstery on my halo has a couple of large tears from previous ownership. One of them patched with duct tape. Turns out duct tape is not my favorite remedy on race cars, or anything else for that matter.

After taking the halo off the car, I thought I would try to properly mend the tears and proceeded to pull the cover from halo, but no Sir! With the zipper wide open, I have no idea how they managed to get that cover on. I tried twisting, pulling, stretching, nothing goes!!

Apart from using a large pair of scissors, has anyone figured how to get that cover off the halo?

Thanks

Chris

Hi Chris (@crimonto),  Unfortunately, I can't help with this one because I have never tried it. The only thing I can think of is to heat up the material a little bit with a heat gun to soften it so it will stretch a bit more.

Thanks Charlie, that's a good idea.

I will share success or display the ashes.
