SanDEC hour meter stopped counting. Wire is wrapped around plug wire 3 or 4 loops. I took it off and cut an inch off and re-wrapped, still does not work. Any tips or is it just buy a new one? Display is working fine and shows hours.

Hi Jim (@jking85), These are great meters, but the do fail. It sounds like it is time for a new one. Lots of people mistakenly put too much faith in these meters and think that they tell how much time is on the car or on an engine. In reality they only measure how long it has been on a car.
