I have very small seeping oil leak from this where the AN fitting enters the housing. What is this - oil pump? Seems as though the top crush washer is source location for seepage, but seemed very tight when I put a wrench on it. Is this common?

That is the oil scavenge pump.
Have a really good look around where the 10mm headed hex bolt holds the pump to the engine crankcases. The boss on the crankcase can crack and this can cause an oil leak exactly as you are seeing.
