Hi Aurelien (@aurel71)
, welcome to the Registry, it is great to meet you. If you can send me the chassis number of your car I can give you some of the build information.
Here are some answers to some of your questions:
On the 2004 cars a radiator fan was optional and primarily ordered on cars that were used in hot environments. These cars have so much cooling capacity it is often hard to get enough heat into the engine in a short track session. It is important to keep the oil pressure below 100psi when you are on the track. It usually takes about 10 minutes of idling in the pit and a couple of laps before the engine is hot enough to thin the oil enough to operate below 100psi.
Back in 2004 the cars came with 1300cc engines or an optional 1500cc engine. The change to 1340cc didn’t happen until about 2010. If you look on the back of your engine you should find a RPE serial number stamped on the block. It will be something like 1300-XXX. That number can be helpful in tracking the maintenance history of the engine.
The 2004 cars came with carbureted engines and there was an option for Fuel Injection. Your engine can be converted to Fuel injection if you desire. I could be mistaken but I believe there was a licensing issue with the Suzuki fuel injection systems and that is why Radical used carburetors and their own fuel injection system.
Let me know if you have any other questions about your car.
D’accord
Hi @aurel71, SR3 chassis number 143 was built in February 2004 to a dealer in Belgium and there is a note saying that it went on to a customer in France. It is a yellow car with yellow trim and had Protec shocks and a 1500cc wet sump, carbureted engine (serial number W701-157333) using an MBE 992 ECU. It had the lite weight wheels, crashbox, and 64L FIA fuel tank (which is an odd size tank).
I hope this helps. 🙂
merci pour les info j’ai une dernière question peut-on faire évoluer la voiture avec des pièce plus récente ??!
