Hi all, I want to drain the fuel tank on my SR3 as the fuel has been in there for years, so it’s shit!!!

ive found a lead in the engine bay, (sureseal plug, 2pin) that has a sticker on it say AUX FP. I’m assuming I connect a homemade lead up to this and the pump will pump away?

Once I’ve done this, which side of the fuel rail do I disconnect? The filter side (left hand looking from the back) or the right hand side which disappears pasts the filter into the bulk head (return to the tank???)

cheers all, hoping I’m on the right track! And if anyone has a link to which sure-seal plug I need then please do send it across

Hi Sam,  Check out this post on how to pump out the tank.  https://radicalsportscarregistry.com/radicalforum/how-to-diy-discussions/fuel-tank-pump/#post-2390

There are several places where you can tap into the fuel line to dump the tank.  Here is a picture of the fuel filter / manifold that shows the direction of flow of each of the lines.  Trace the lines and tap into the pressure side of the line.  I tapped in at the fuel rail but there are other options.

@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com thanks Charley.

i sussed it last night. I disconnected at the fuel rail (the left hand side look at it from the rear, filter side), then used my power probe to put a live into the plug. Bingo, it pumped away! Good job really, fuel doesn’t look great!
