Fuel tank pump out process
I will ask to AquaRossa.
Thanks
I need to pump out the fuel from 2006 SR3, but I don't have the jumper cable to connect to the P/out SureSeal socket.
Can I use a probe connected to a seperate 12v battery to energise the fuel pump ?
if so please which side of the socket is the positive ? (Second photo shows connectors in the socket on the car)
The P/out socket wiring splits and goes to the ECU so does the car need to have its own 12v battery installed with the ignition on? or will energising the P/out socket via an external probe power the fuel pump independently of the cars own battery ?
Thanks any advice appreciated
Bumping this thread as I have the same question as SR3Pantera: which socket is positive?
Looking to make my own jumper.
Any insights appreciated!

Keep the master switch off while pumping out fuel.
Heads up on the Sure Seal connector - Grainger has them but you have to order the connector (boot/rubber part) AND the male/female plugs. They do not have an already assembled unit - downside is shipping is a bit spendy (especially when you have to place 2 orders to get everything you need!)
@brewerbry I have an entire kit for sale less than 1/2 price from Radical & free shipping anywhere in the USA.
@nseniwong Thanks for the offer Pop but I was able to get all of the parts I need for ~ $180. Maybe the Staubli fittings are better but not $400 better! Jiffy tite is good for my installation.
@brewerbry Good for you that you can rig one to meet your need. Radical selected Staubli fittings because they provide non-spill quick release. It's all about risk tolerance while draining fuel with hot engine. Staubli fittings run about $300 depending on where you ordered from. Radical charges upward of $1100 for the same kit.
