Hi Guys,

So I bought Charley Sunoco Blue and Yellow Prosport from him about a month ago. Super excited to get her out on the track this year. I have a question regarding what tires do you guys suggest? Not looking to to spend a ton of money. I will post in another section too.

Hi Michael!  I am glad to see you are on the Forum now.  I am looking forward to seeing your progress with your Prosport.  It is a beautiful car.  Hopefully Neil @neilca, or one of the other Prosport owners can give you some good information on tire selection.

I buy used tires from John Berget https://www.jbracingtires.net/

I will have to check my sizes, I think they are 7x20.5 front and 9x20 rear. I tried 10x22's on the rear but they hit my side pods and tail during a session.

I run the R25 compound even in the summer in Atlanta, but I am slow and don't overheat them.

@mike-p

I am a former New Yorker (two years ago) and used to run SCCA events in the Northeast (not a Radical).  Great tracks to race in that area!

I also get my tires from John Berget - Hoosiers 20 x 7.5 x 13 fronts and 22.5 x 10 x 13 rears - typically around $300 / set. Between R25 and R35 (in Michigan), I like the former better, although the latter last a little bit longer.
