Sad Radical
Hi All
Just brought a RXC back to England to rebuild it back to spec.
Welcome Paul! I am looking forward to seeing some pictures of your car. What work are you doing to it?
Charley
I have the chassis and body panels and a few more parts i think it has been used as a doner car i have no suspension or uprights the engine and box are missing so it will take time to rebuild but will be worth it in the end so if Any one has any parts let me know the car is blue with sparky orange decals i will build it as a Track day car with the bare minimum it needs.
Wow, this sounds like a huge project. Is it a coupe or Spyder?
Which engine will this run Paul?
@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com Hi Charley its a coupe not sure of the year Frame number is SA9RXCRCN DP207003 maybe someone will know the year from the number Radical are shut at the moment so i will find out a lot when they re open
@rlm-dan Hi Dan it had a eco boost in it but i will have to see what comes along i want to build it as a track day car so i wont need a lot of fancy stuff ie bare essentials to start with and the the nice stuff later I wil try to post a few photos. Paul.
Hi Paul (@levo), Here is a post that is helpful in decoding the VIN for Road legal radicals. https://radicalsportscarregistry.com/radicalforum/how-to-diy-discussions/chassis-numbers-for-road-legal-radicals/#post-953 . I think you may have a typo in your chassis number because I suspect that the 7th digit is actually an L and not an R.
According to the chassis number your car was built in 2013 (the first year of the RXC) and was the third RXC built.
Charley
@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com Hi Charley. Thanks for that number 3 had a good day on it today removed all the stickers and cleaned a lot of the pannels up headlights striped cleaned and polished an rebuilt and starting to asses what needs to be done. Paul.
Hi Charley. Just checked the chassis number on the frame again and it is Definitely a R not a L i have noticed that the front nose cone has square vent holes for the intercooler rads and i have looked on the internet for another car with the same square vents and have only found 1 photo so i am wondering if it was a very early or the first charge cooled rxc ? Thanks Paul. SA9RXCRCN/DP207003

Wow... looks great... What a nice project... Good luck with it Paul @levo .
Hi Paul, I also wondered about buying this and rebuilding it!
Have you brought it back to the UK already? Must have used air freight.
Any thoughts on sorting the front suspension? We wondered would Radical put it back on the jig...
It's a super cool piece of kit and very suitable for a bare minimum track focused build. Enjoy!
