RPMS DONT WORK IN MY PROSPORT HAYABUSA
Good afternoon, i buyed last year my Radical prosport with hayabusa engine 1340, and dont work the rpms, can anybody help me? When I give ignition they turn on all lights on (check) but then they do not work with the engine running.
This dash.
Regards and thanks
Are you using the Radical dash or some other sort of tachometer? Did the car come with a Hayabusa or was it converted? I would recommend starting the trouble shooting process by checking the wiring. Check for loose or broken wires in the engine bay. This is a likely source of the trouble, especially if their was an engine / ECU conversion. Then check to see if all of the wires are connected to the dash (or tachometer). After that I would check to see if their is any obvious damage or repairs to the wires coming from the engine bay to the dash area.
Also, what chassis number is your car? It would be great to add the details and pictures of your car to the Registry.

I got rid of the Radical dash because I could not see any characters while driving. I run the Gen II Hayabusa and a Stack tach, no problem.
The car is original hayabusa with radical dash, attached photo. In the picture the engine is on, but the lights of the rpm. They turn off, they buy the whole installation and have not seen any cable cut.
The ecu is a DTA that only has 9 pins, in the DTA manual of this ecu, it is the number 9 for RPM signal, but I tried to connect a shiftlight and it does not work, do you know where is the signal of RPMS of this motor?
I also tried the 4 wires that go to the 2 coils but the RPMS signal dont comes out from there.
Thanks for all friends 🙂
Salvador, I did a little digging into this today and I fund that what you are experiencing could possibly be a failure in the Radical Dash. Apparently you symptoms are fairly common form of Dash failure. With that said, I would keep digging to make sure you are getting a signal from the ECU. I don’t have much knowledge on the DTA ECU’s but I did find a Forum for DTA ECU users ( it is actually run by DTA). Here is the link to the DTA Forum http://www.dtaforum.com/viewforum.php?f=6&start=50.
Hopefully others with comment also with their ideas.

Also, Can you post a picture of the wiring diagram you have? It may come in handy for others with with similar issues.
Thanks,
