Radical’s premier series in North America will continue to be named the Blue Marble Cocktails Radial Cup in 2019 after the title sponsorship was extended with the ultra-premium premixed cocktail maker, while Virginia International Raceway with Blancpain GT World Challenge America, April 25-28, has been confirmed as the first stop on the 2019 calendar.

“We’re delighted to announce the continuation of Blue Marble Cocktails as title sponsor, and the World Challenge weekend at VIR as our first event,” commented Tom Drewer, Radical Sportscars Regional Manager, North America. “Our partnership with Blue Marble elevated the series in every aspect last year– particularly with our trackside hospitality which will, like last year, be included with the entry fee.”

“Last year we realized this series isn’t just about the awesome racing,” added Blue Marble Cocktails Founder and Planetary Ambassador Alan Miller. “It’s about the camaraderie after the helmets come off, the lasting friendships that are built, and the memories that will last a lifetime. We’re honored to again be a part of this year’s Radical Cup series and to again fuel all the fun, both on and off the track, with our all-natural, ultra-premium Blue Marble Cocktails.”

That fun will commence on April 25, when the Radical Cup once again joins World Challenge at Virginia International Raceway for four days of non-stop action including a Thursday promoter test day.

Portland and Sonoma complete Blue Marble Cocktails Radical Cup calendar.

Two West Coast events are the final puzzle pieces to fall into place for the 6-round, 18-race 2019 Blue Marble Cocktails Radical Cup championship. After supporting IndyCar at Road America, June 20-23, the series will head towards the Pacific, visiting Portland International Raceway with SCCA for round four, Aug 9-11, and Sonoma Raceway with Speed Ventures, Sept 27-29, for the penultimate event of the season.

Portland and Sonoma are new venues for the nation’s premier Radical series, however both have strong ties to regional Radical racing. Californian dealer Radical Northwest is based at Sonoma Raceway, while Radical Canada West’s series often races south of the boarder and Portland will double as a round of the local championship. Coupled with the relative proximity to Spring Mountain Motor Resort and Country Club– Radical’s highest volume car dealer in 2018– large grids can be expected at both events.
