Mine is in the right hand front wheel well attached to the metal chassis.

That's the one Alex. 🙂

Usually there is a bracket with two quick removal clips onto which the transponder attaches to the car. I understand it's made for quick removal/replacement depending on race organisers.

That is the transponder and that is a good place for it. Yours appears to be behind your side pod.  Mine was in the front wheel well.  Either place is fine.

yes this is the hard wired one which doesn´t come with the clipholder but is being screwed to the chassis. It needs to send to the floor (so uncovered there) and schould be saved against marvel, stones, and water. So that indeed seems to be agood area. I just taped it there for the sake of the picture, and now will fix it there.
