Hi All, I’m looking for a SR3 rear clam in decent shape, mine is covered with spider cracks and missing fiberglass underneath and in the wheel wells. I have a Gen1 but I’m assuming all rear clams should fit? I know the fronts are different due to the crash box change. Please call or text me if you have one. Thanks, Crit @ 408-717-3319

You can also send your current clam to Radical... They can put it in the original mold and do all new Gel Coat for a fraction of the cost of a new clam. I did this with a customer's SR3 nose which was damaged from car to car contact on track.

Send them pictures and ask for a quote.

Spring Mountain has a used black tail section ( not sure if it is better than yours) and they are checking to see if they have a new one.  Team stradale has a new white tail.

Charley, thank you so much for looking into this! I will give them botha call tomorrow. Wish I would have talked to Spring Mountain about the tail section when I bought the car from them.

Hi, I'm not quite sure if the mounting points are the same. Charley might know.

I believe they are the same as long as the SR8 has a high intake.  If you decide to go this way, let me know and I can double check to be sure.

radical Northwest in Sonoma which is only about an hour and a half away from me says they have a new rear clam, going to check that route first but if they want an absolute Fortune for it I will explore the other options. Still waiting to hear back from Sean at Spring Mountain about the black one you mentioned Charley, not sure if he is your main point of contact, he is the one that sold me my SR3.

Yes, I normally work with Sean.  In fact I just got off of the phone with him.  He told me that he was working on getting you pricing but he was extremely busy today.  I also talked with Anthony at Radical NW today and he said that you had called.  Both are great guys but they are both extremely busy.

Sean mentioned that you may want to investigate having a body shop grind down and they build up the areas that are cracked.  That may be the most economical way to go.

Regarding the question earlier about which rear sections will fit.. I have been doing a little research and it looks like the SR3 RS (second generation SR3) and the SR8 RX (second generation SR8) with the high inlet use the same part so those should be interchangeable.  Your car is an SR3 SuperSport (First generation SR3) but I am pretty sure the rear body on the second generation cars fits directly on the first generation cars.  The reason I say that is because the later First Generation cars (~2007 -2008) used the Second Generation tail section with the first generation Upper center body and both first gen and second gen side pods.  So you should be fine using a Second generation (RS / RX high intake) rear body.

I have one with high intake but that´s the one in my car now.  The spare one I have is the lower intake so it would probably not fit the SR3 based on Charlie´s input.  Bummer.

Thanks for all the help! I'll keep in contact with Sean and Anthony and try to find a local fiberglass shop to get me an estimate.

No worries Diego 👍
