Looking for SR8 2.7l RPX Cosworth pistons. This is 81mm bore with 18mm pin and for the 65mm gen2 stroke and std rod length of 119.5mm

CR is around 12:1 and the same piston may have been used also on the 4-Cyl versions.

new used doesn’t matter, would need one spare in good condition.

Hi @vhtracing,  y understanding is that these parts are made specifically for Radical and Radical only sells them to Radical certified  engine shops.  I don’t think it is the same piston that is used in the 1340 engines, but I think I have a few used 1340 pistons around that are in pretty good shape if that would help.

@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com yes I am very well aware of how all this works. And I know it is a long shot, but was thinking that there must be people out there with broken 2.7l’s that could possible have a spare for me. I also would not mix and match pistons usually, but if the Cosworth build quality is good and precise from set to set what I expect maybe I could use another piston from another engine. Maybe you can send me a photo of the 4-Cyl 1340 Cosworth piston I can see if it looks the same at least from picture?

Hi Mikko,

I will most likely have a used one somewhere. Do you know if it is the left or right hand oil jet cut out you require? Do you have DLC coated piston pins?

Send me an e-mail - Dan@rlmracing.com
