i will be in Palm springs this week, are there any race shops within a two hour drive
specifically somewhere to be fitted for a Hans type device and a new helmet …possibly Stilo as my head does not fit the bells I have tried on

Hi Dan (@daniel_d), I don't now of any shops in Palm Springs, but there are a few in Huntington Beach and Santa Anna which are a few hours away. I don't know if it would be worth the drive because it is so far.

have tomorrow free and it is too hot to hike in Joshua tree, we can make the trip

One thing I'd add is to make sure everything fits comfortably before race day, especially the helmet, HANS device, and gloves. Even good-quality gear can become distracting if it doesn't fit properly during a long session. It's definitely worth trying everything together beforehand.
