I have been asked many times about if the newer SR3 RS high downforce side skirts will fit onto the earlier SR3 side pods. I recently had the opportunity to check this out and I can confirm that the newer SR3 RS side skirts do fit on the SR3 SS side pods.
These pictures show the difference between the SR3 first Gen side skirts and the High downforce side skirts used on the SR3 RS (Second Gen). The newer high downforce side skirts are wider in the back and have an aerodynamic feature that diverts air around the rear wheels and onto the rear diffuser.
Here are some pictures showing the high downforce Side skirts on an first gen SR3 SS side pod. As you can see they fit perfectly. I will note that these side pods are the Gen 1 High downforce side pods and I haven't tried these side skirts on the Standard downforce side pods, so if anyone has tried that combination please add to the conversation 🙂
