Do you have a fuel pressure gauge? If you do what does the pressure build to before it bleeds off? If it builds up to a solid working pressure it could be your fuel pressure regulator is faulty.

When I bought my dislay from him he actually called me 2x over the course of 10 days.

From discussing with other members... brake line setups differ from generation to generation. We would need a little more info.
