Nut / bolt marking Hi guys -- Does anybody have a product recommendation for marking positions of nuts/bolts to watch for loosening? I've used Sharpies and they work OK, but I'm wondering if there's a better, more visib... |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors I can ask my guy at Wilwood, but I will guess his response will be "no"... I'll wait to try and get that information once I get my front rotors off the car. |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors Richard, with a new set of 280mm steel rotors in hand, if you can provide dimensions, I'll be able to work out if Wilwood stuff might work. The biggest problem I see with Wilwood's catalogue is a lack... |

RE: Source for SR3 Heavy Duty Half shafts I heartily endorse Driveshaft Shop. I've had a lot of work done there over the years. |

RE: Blipper Shifter Diagnosistic I re-used the Radical shift block and wiring connector for my MoTeC conversion. My notes show: UP -- power = red, signal (ground) = blue DOWN -- power = red-black, signal (ground) = grey |

RE: Blipper Shifter Diagnosistic The shifter block uses 4 wires (2 for up and 2 for down shift). Each side should have a 12v supply, and the ECU (or GCU on older cars) pulls the corresponding wire to ground to make the shift happen. |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors I just got a reply from Wilwood: the best thing you can do is comb thru my offerings and see what might work for you. I don’t have anything off the shelf, as a 10 bolt pattern is not common for us. L... |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors Ah -- I've not measured mine. You're right: if the steel rotors are 21mm from the factory, that's plenty thick. I reached out to Wilwood with the dimensions you posted above, along with a note about ... |

RE: Drive shaft service recommendations Charley, that's good stuff. It fits with what Wisko Racing told me a couple of months ago. Have a look in the alternate parts area for a link for where to get replacement boot clamps. |

RE: Blipper Shifter Diagnosistic Not that I'd recommend this course of action for others, but these were the sort of issues that led me down the path of a complete ECU replacement. |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors I think the .81 (21mm) rotors are too thin for our use -- I'd not want to go there, especially on a front rotor. Did you get prices on new rotors from Hi-Spec? I can also make contact with my Wilwoo... |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors I'm back in town today, and should be able to get some measurements. |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors I'll be back in town early next week, but it seems that swapping to a Wilwood rotor is not straight-forward. I think the mount points are different -- Wilwood use 6 or 8 fasteners rather than 10. |

RE: Brake conversion Carbon to steel - need to source calipers and rotors I was looking over Wilwood's catalogue and came up with my own set of related questions: what's the dimension of the mounting tabs to the hat? Bolt center and number? Rotor thickness? It also seems li... |
