RE: New 1500cc Hayabusa engine starts briefly then dies @davidf You've been through the wringer on this one! Ok, let's talk about engine sensors and sensor wiring. I'm wondering if you've got an engine speed or engine sync sensor causing the issue. If I'm ... |

RE: SR3 shifting issues very TRICKY! @jonasr1 Does it shift by hand? Get the rear wheels off the ground, then move the shifter on the gearbox by hand. Can you feel the detent go? Then rotate the wheels and see if it's in the higher gear.... |

RE: New 1500cc Hayabusa engine starts briefly then dies @davidf Let's blame fouled spark plugs. If the plugs are fouled no amount of cleaning them will get the engine to run right, and plugs are cheap and easy to swap. I'd put in a new set of plugs and see... |

RE: New 1500cc Hayabusa engine starts briefly then dies @joep Gotcha. I keep thinking this would be a lot easier to resolve if we had proper engine data -- like, say from a MoTeC ECU, or even an open Life ECU. 🙂 |

RE: New 1500cc Hayabusa engine starts briefly then dies @davidf @rjbender @joep @charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com I don't see how a low fuel situation would prevent a car from idling, but would allow it to run fine at higher RPM. Anyway... some other ... |

RE: New Member Florida area @slip_angle No, I'm a track day guy, mostly with Chin. My car is a 2009 SR8 with tons of mods. I enjoy that as much as running the car. |

RE: New Member Florida area @slip_angle That's cool. I'm in east Orange County just off the 528. Are you planning on racing the car? Or running track days? Both? |

RE: New Member Florida area @slip_angle Welcome Chris! My paddock neighbor last weekend at Sebring had an SR10 loaner. His new SR10 is coming soon. Are you Florida-based? |

RE: New 1500cc Hayabusa engine starts briefly then dies In fact, if you can have a look at spark advance as well in the log. You should see it changing fairly rapidly as the RPM dies. |

RE: New 1500cc Hayabusa engine starts briefly then dies @davidf The engine seems to be behaving as if it doesn't know it's idling, as the ECU makes extra effort to keep an idling engine running, using spark advance since it doesn't have control of the thr... |

RE: New 1500cc Hayabusa engine starts briefly then dies @davidf Hi David -- that's quite a puzzle. Can you see the TPS % via data log? Is it above zero when the engine dies? |

RE: Tying down a radical I don't strap down the fronts either. Just the rear, similar to the photoshopped photo above. Now then: you need an enclosed trailer. 20 feet is plenty, and then you can put some cabinets in the front... |

RE: Hello from Virginia @darrahc Welcome Clark! I got to see an SR10 up close this past weekend, and play tag with it on track (I've got an older SR8). It's very impressive in its engineering and fit and finish. I think you'... |

RE: SR8 and SR10 on track together Brian (the owner of the SR10) was also complaining about the handling -- that it wasn't nearly as good as HIS SR3. In fact, he seriously tried to buy my SR8. But I'd say the SR10 was about (between dr... |

RE: RXC V8 Oil Pressure suddenly low @bill-snead Hi Bill, It's not an engine-out procedure on the SR8, and is something I've done many times. But I can't say on the RXC -- as the chassis is a bit different. If you can take a photo or two... |
