I know there’s a way to get the hours off the display, I saw someone go to the ‘flag’ icon and do several manipulations, but I tried a bunch of things and couldn’t figure it out.
Can someone please explain how it’s done w/o connecting a computer?
It’s a 1340 used for tracking and wondering if folks are getting a rebuild of GDU and/ or engine at this interval (driven spirited but not racing).
This is my first Radical, a heck of a car that demands balance but gives an incredible amount of fun back if properly driven.
I’m around 40hrs (so I believe) and had the car serviced at proper intervals. Now, I’m inclined to just do fluids and nut and bole check but wait a bit more for refurbishment. Comments welcome, thanks!

Hi William (@wthensler), welcome to the Registry. My cars all had earlier dashes but on those dashes there is a page function that lets you see different pages of information on the dash. One of the later pages shows the hours. I don’t know if the newer dashes have the same page function, but they likely do. With that said it is better to hook a laptop computer to the car using the Life Racing cord and download the ECU log book. It shows more information that you will find very helpful such as total hours, number of over rev’s, level of over rev, etc.. I don’t know for sure on the newer XXR engines, but on the earlier generation 1340 people regularly ran them to 80 hours without issue. However if the car has had several high over revs the engine should be overhauled sooner.
As Charley said don't trust the dash even if you can find hours on it.
Connect to the ECU and check the logbook.
1340's should easily run well over 40 hours but make sure you keep on top of the drive unit and forward gear - as has been detailed on other threads in here.
After playing around I was able to access hours on the steering wheel. It reads 43.4 hours (was last serviced last at 33.5).
Car needs full fluid change and I got a fresh set of slicks for running this weekend.
Previously I hit some debris with the front splitter and it has been worked on a few times but needs a final adjustment.
I run it hard enough but not gonna do a major just yet (1340).
Getting the hang of driving it like an aero car, and it is like no other.
