What would be the best driver cooling option for Radical SR3 racing? I'm mostly ok without cooling while driving but I almost blacked out sitting at the pre-grid for 15 minutes before the start of a race at 105+ degrees with no wind and no shade (my umbrella girl bailed on me due to extreme heat, ironically). So I guess I need a cooling shirt. Someone suggested I get the small electric one because it's light and does not require ice. But it requires 18-25 amps of power, which sounds like a lot, and is rather expensive, but that's less important. Would I be better off with a fully electric one or something more traditional with ice? I am underweight and have to carry extra fuel anyway, so extra few pounds are ok, I guess. What would be a good setup?

I use the CoolShirt 6qt mobile bag with lithium battery.  Still have to buy a shirt and I also use short extension.  Can buy from numerous locations, but I got mine at Apex.

I am doing the same as Dan.  I purchased the cool shirt club bag and strap it into the passenger seat using the belts.  BTW NASA members receive a 10% discount @ Competition Motorsports.  It adds up when purchasing expensive stuff.

Got it. In case I end up with the iceless option, would 18amps of current draw be ok for a Radical SR3 XX?
