I would like to say a big thank you to Jim King because your help was great and I managed to convert my sr3 to a dual battery .

A dual battery setup can work really well, especially if you're running extra electronics or data logging. I'd just make sure to use a proper battery isolator or DC-DC charger so one battery can't drain the other. Keeping the wiring neat and using the correct cable size also makes a big difference in reliability.
