Picked up a 2014 SR three right before the virus hit and finally got to get it out this past Monday at the track. After the day progressed it had a more difficult time going into gear when I first began. If I rolled the car forward or backwards it seem to help. Once I was on track it was all OK.
There is an aftermarket geartronics gauge showing the current gear selection.

any thoughts?

Jay,

It sounds like you're just having problems getting 1st?  I was told that's somewhat normal.  Just let the clutch out and push it back in and try again.  That always does it for me, on a rare occurrence I need to do that twice and then it jumps right into 1st.  My car did that before and now with a fresh engine and trans rebuild does exactly the same.

What are you running for data in the car.  You should have a gear indicator on your data display.

What type of events are you running?  If your car doesn't already have a cooling fan and oil preheater I highly recommend them.  They'll make things far less stressful at the track.
