I aware of the Radical Cup series and also private club racing(apex, autobahn, SM, etc).

Where else is the Radical eligible to race? Perhaps most folks are just using them for track days. The Radical Cup would work great for me except for the signicant expense and travel involved. I also would like to get some race experience locally before jumping in.

I have a new 1340 coming this spring and I know you could run it in P2 for SCCA but I believe it’s very slow for that group. Just wanted to see if I was missing anything.

Those are the major groups that I am aware of but I am sure NASA has a group also.

I have raced my SR3 1500cc in P2 class at an SCCA event.  It depends on the event, but often there will be a mix of Formula Atlantic, Formula Mazda/Mazda Pro, Formula Enterprise, Stohr, Elan DP02, and even F3, etc.  A Formula Enterprise is almost identical performance as an SR3 1500 at most tracks.  The P1, FA, and PX classes are faster than SR3, but you should find some good wheel to wheel competition among P2 and FE.

I do recommend attending at least one Radical Cup event just to see the difference in racing other Radicals and the extra practice time and longer races.  The hospitality and Blue Marble cocktail parties are amazing, and some events are shared with IndyCar.  Put it on your bucket list.

You will get to know some great people in both SCCA and Radical Cup.  I don't mean to neglect NASA, but I have not raced with them before.

There is also PBOC winter fest at Sebring -- sprints, time trials, and a six hour enduro into the night.

I have raced NASA Utah for the past couple of years.  The SR3 1500cc runs in Super Limited which is a catch all for "fast cars".  It depends on the region but cars can range from LMP cars to M3's.  The closest competition I have found are the Porsche GT3's.  Caution, I have had many close calls and accidents with GT cars that have not seen me.  Not sure where you are located but there are a couple of Radicals in Colorado racing in NASA.
