Just wanting some real experience from someone with experience with the RXC with the 3.7 L Dord.  I know it may be underpowered compared to the RPE V8 but was it reliable and made decent power for what it was intended for in the RXC.  I’m sure the 3.5 ecoboost is night and day but seems the 380hp and over 300 tq were well enough to have fun.

Got this from Phil on Facebook.  Thought I would share.

Back in the day we supplied quite a few 380hp V6 , it’s typical road spec V6 - it flatters to deceive , initial throttle openings are responsive and promising , then it flattens off
However we bumped into quite a few owners years later who had done almost starship mileage running lower end and much longer races had great fun so at that level it’s very capable

We know why we did turbos and bigger turbos and they are good
But a lot of heat management and special components etc

Our current route of supercharging the same V6 is excellent , all the power ( 500+) at only 7psi , less heat rejection issues , standard fuels
Some Customers cars in 40degree+ heat in California
Just done 8000km rebuilds without issues or exceptional Costs

Having run all programs
This SC route is proving best compromise on performance , servicing and running costs
