I think there were 3 generations of SR3.  What is the chassis # cutoff for the different generations?

Yes, there have been three generations of SR3s so far.  The first Generation started in 2002 and ended in 2008 (around chassis 400).  The second generation went from 2009 to the end of 2014.  However there was a change in about July 2011 where the roll hoop was raised to meet new FIA requirements.  THat is why you will hear people referring to Low hoop cars and high hoop cars.  The third generation started in 2015 (around chassis 930).  I am in the process of loading up the sales brochures for the Gen 1, Gen 2 and Gen 3 cars in the Resource library so you can read about them and see what options were available.  There is also a section in the Resource library that has “Order sheets” for each generation which are also helpful to see the which options were available.

The chassis numbers I gave are approximate numbers, but I have a request in to Radical asking them to confirm the chassis numbers of major improvements to the car and I plan to write a detailed post when I get the information.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Charley

To update this post to confirm the specific chassis numbers for the different generation SR3s.  The first SR3 RS (second generation) was chassis number 400.  The first SR3 RSX (third generation) was chassis number 930.  The original data derived estimates were correct.
