I had a bit of an off track adventure at my last event and need to some glass work on the side skirts. Is there anything special or unexpected about removing those? Plan was to drill the rivets and then replace once finished.

Hi Garrett(@gwt561324), Sorry to hear about your adventure.  Removing the side skirts isn't very difficult as long as you can get the car high enough to drill out the rivets.  This is one of the many times that a good 90 degree drill comes in handy.  The one challenge you will likely run into is that fiberglass doesn't do well with expanded fasteners like pop rivets, so it is very common to have to do some minor fiberglass repairs for some of the fastener holes.  If you are pressed for time you can simply move the rivet holes, but I prefer to do the repairs when needed.

Use “peel” type rivets. They work much better than expanding rivets in fiberglass. They don’t expand the hole and the hole can be reused many times.
