My 2000 prosport does not have an airbox installed.  The car came with a loose airbox but it is missing one of the velocity stacks and  the diameter seems too small. Is there an air box for this motor, or should I modify the one I have to fit? Any advise or photos of another installation would be appreciated.

Hi Frank (@goggles), Your car originally came with a Kawasaki 1000cc engine so the air box that you have is likely from that engine.  The owner you got this car from changed the engine over to a Hayabusa and that is likely why the current air box doesn't fit.  Do you know if the engine in your car is a K7 or a K8 Hayabusa?  If you are not sure you can post some pictures of the top of the engine and I can let you know which you have.  Also, does the car have  Suzuki throttle bodies or does it have the Radical / Jenvey throttle bodies?  With that information I can likely point you to an air box that will fit, or if the TB spacing is close to the spacing for the air box that you have I can likely point you to some connectors that should work.

Looks like a K8.  It will need the mounting hardware for the airbox as well.

It looks like you have a stock Suzuki ECU and throttle bodies.  Here is a picture of a K7 in an SR3 that used Suzuki throttle bodies that shows how it connected to the air box. Can you tell if the velocity stacks at the end of the TB's are removable so the rubber connectors could be used?

Yes the velocity stacks are removable. The rubber connectors can be used.
