Newbee with a 2012 SR3 RS that I have been working on over past few months - I have found this forum a great help to date and car is ready to run in upcoming track days, however when I connect 12v power to 'Pump Out' plug (with all main power shut off to car) the starter motor spins? I haven't let it run long enough to see if fuel pump runs and pressure builds. Before I chase down the circuit for a short has anyone else experienced this? I can't find any posts covering this issue. 2 pin plug lead on the car is correctly marked "Pump Out" and located is same location as other cars...
Problem sorted. I was using the added battery external charge plugs as my power source to test the pump out procedure. After talking to the very helpful previous mechanic we realised these plugs created a ground earth loop that kicked the stater motor into life.... Once an external battery source was used pump worked fine.
