Yes, my mechanic ordered the parts from them earlier this week.

On the topic of blippers, let's say you're sitting in your garage with the engine running and the car is in third gear idling around 1,500 RPM. If you hit the paddle to downshift to second (car not moving), what RPM should the engine shoot up to for the downshift?

Charley, would you say that the movement in the actuator bearing is excessive?  I've been having a shift problem as well and that bearing moves in and out of the housing very similar to the movie that was shown.  Not having seen a new one, I don't know if that is normal or not.

I did find the actuator arm to be pretty worn as well so I replaced it but have a feeling that bearing is not supposed to move that much.  When bolted on the car with washers on it, it doesn't move liked that, so I wondered if it was OK, or not.

Thanks

Hi @jclee, yes the movement in the video is excessive and can cause shifting issues.  Shifting issues are worth having an expert look at because it could be a simple fix, or it could be the start of something more serious.  Shifting issues can sometimes be a precursor to gears exiting the engine in undesirable ways…

@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com Thanks Charley, that's what I figured.  Whenever we've had this shifting problem it has been due to too much movement in the actuator.  Eliminating that extra movement has always eliminated the problem.  Now that I know this bearing is bad, replacing it should stop it from loosening up again.
