I did a quick search and didn't find much info on what tire pressure I should start the day at OR what hot tire pressures I should be looking for?

For the Hankook slicks, I usually shoot for 28 psi hot.  The cold starting point will depend on the starting temperature of your tires, and how long and hard you will be pushing your car.  I often start with 21 psi.  Less when it is a cool day.  Try not to wait until the sun comes out and warms one side of your car.

I am a newbie and want to get some info.

Hankook website says their slick tires are designed for 30-32.

I wonder what everyone is doing?

I feel they work best between 26 and 28.  I usually go out between 20/21 depending on the weather.
