Anyone know how to go about hardwiring a device to the AIM PDM system? I’d like to hardwire a garmin catalyst (also some led lights to the hoop). In theory, this should be straightforward - but I’m not sure how to integrate wiring into the existing wiring harness(es). (Of course I’m a total newb to these systems - so that doesn’t help).

As an aside, when I took off the side panel to have a look at the PDM, one of the “supports” that holds the unit to panel dropped into the side pod (see picture), so I have to go fishing that out now (ugh!! Lol).

Is the PDM loom a Radical part? They usually have several extra power and ground connectors for adding other devices. Otherwise, you'll need to remove sheathing and add your own loom.

I haven't had a car with the PDM system but on the earlier cars the easiest way to tap into power is to either use one of the extra ports in the wiring harness, or to add a wire eye ring to the end of the wire and they attach that directly to the back of the main power switch.  There is a stud on the back of the main switch that has a nut on it.  You can remove this nut and add additional wires here using an eyelet.  If you use this method make sure to add a fuse.  🙂
