Last fall (November time frame) when I was prepping to put my SR3 away for the season I turned the master switch on and had a massive fuel leak. The last track event where I ran the car was in September. I did not drain the fuel however in between the events (thus maybe the cause???).
After further investigation it looks the main seal for the fuel filter (pic below) has shrunk or lost its seal because after turning on the master (fuel pump runs) massive amounts of fuel spills out of the fuel filter where the C clip attaches.
I was wondering if anyone has had this issue before or if there is some other culprit that caused this oring to go bad. I am in the process of ordering a new fuel filter (I have it all apart already) as well as a new oring.
I thought it was very strange on how I never had any fuel leaking before and then two months later a massive fuel leak.
Any insight/thoughts would be appreciated!
