@raider89 - excellent - thanks for sharing!

Just to confirm, that number is for the SR3 RSX model?

... I'm in Australia, so don't want to end up with something shipped all that way which isn't right!

I was assuming, but unclear, seemed to have been developed using Charlie's car.  I actually have a XX coming, so assuming it will fit that as well.  But, based on subsequent responses, seems easier and slightly less expensive to purchase from carcoverplanet.

@raider89

I asked carcoverplanet about which cover they would recommend for outdoor protection (thinking a rain storm or the like overnight at the track) for a XX.  They sent the following reply:

"The car cover for the Radical SR3 was designed specifically off the 2014 model. It's not meant for any other model year, so we don't recommend it for a 2020 model. If you are very familiar with the bodies and feel it might work, getting a stretch fabric would help. The stretch fabric for outdoor use is the Autobody Armor, which is the top of the line cover. If you have any other questions, please let us know."

[the auto body armor is $399]  If the bodies are really similar enough, it seems like the Monsom Plus ($199) would be a good choice too.

I've been looking and comparing pictures and think it should work fine ... @charleyH ?

Does anyone know if these car covers are available in EU?

With your knowledge of various SR3 body dimensional changes, including the new XX version, do you think this cover will work on my inbound XX?  I sure would like to have an outside cover for any flash storms while at the track as opposed to hustling the car back into the trailer.

@raider89, I think it will fit pretty well but not perfectly.  Cover King isn’t 100% right when they say it was designed for a 2014. They did measure my car in 2014 but my car was a 2010 Low-hoop car.  In 2011 Radical changed to a High-hoop design that raised the roll bar and dash area a few inches, so the cover hay not hang totally even for the entire length of the car.  Also the fenders curvature on the front of the RSX is a little different than the RS.  With that said I believe it will still fit pretty well.

My cover (still with the “pro type tag” still on it) now resides at the Drivers club at Lime Rock Park in CT.  I can call out there to see if anyone in the club has an RSX that they can try fitting it on.

Charley

Maybe they updated the design after originally fitting to the 2010 because it seems to fit fine on my RSX.

@azwcat, great.  Thank you for confirming that it fits the RSX also!

@azwcat ...any chance of a photo of it on your car??  I'm in Australia and don't want to get it all the way over here without having seen one fitted.

I think Specialised Car Covers in the UK also offer similar covers... and their website seems to suggest they have versions to suit the SR3 models after the RSX was introduced....

I just received my car cover from carcoverplanet.  Fits great on my RSX.  It is indeed the same company as CoverKing.  The cover has the coverking logo on it.  I ordered in the Silverguard material and I like how it is pretty lightweight and easy to handle, while also being suitable for outside use in most weather conditions.  Cost was very reasonable.  Thanks to Charley for doing the custom fit work with them!

@azwcat

Is the Siverguard abrasive, should I get the Plus with added inner layer for brand new paint on new XX?  Some of the new car will be getting vinyl wrap shortly after arrival.  I only want the cover for outside while at the track and storm arives, or overnight, not for general coverage in storage - so thinking Silverguard Plus or Monsom Plus since I am down here in hot TX weather.  Any recommendations after having yours now?

It is not abrasive and it will be fine for the gelcoat finish on the Radical.  If I was doing long term storage or if this was a new street car I'd definitely upgrade.

Don't know if you have bought your cover yet.  Here are pictures of the Auto Body Armor on a SR3 XX. - they recommended it for the "extra stretch" in case it didn't quite fit.  There seems to be plenty of room so you should be good with the Monsom Plus or Silverguard.

Nice.  Yes, I had purchased one, but not used or trial fit it yet.  I will likely use in ~3 weeks for overnight sit at the track.  I did get Silverguard though.
