@gobble, I used pins 2 & 15 to install an aftermarket tach, works great.

I just came in for the night. It's interesting. What I would call pin 1 (top left) works for power, pin 15 (bottom right) works for ground, but pin 4 is where I found the RPM signal. The wiring diagram calls it pin 2.

 

I'm 100% sure this is RPM. Someone else had tapped into the same wire in the past and bandaged it back up with electrical tape.

 

Did you mount your solo 2 with velcro or the bracket that comes with it?

@gobble, I mounted the solo 2 with the included bracket. I removed the thumb screws from the bracket and installed it on the dash with 3M double sided moulding mounting tape. I wanted to be able to remove the Solo 2 for easy charging and so I could bring it into the house for downloading the logs.
