i had my first full wet day in the car yesterday, which transitioned to 90% dry line by the end.

So the car finished the day dry on the outside, at which point it was home time.

I've heard that i need to keep the car internals spotless to prevent any surface rusting/corrosion etc? So i bought loads of cans of SAS lubricant...

any advise on what you guys do after a wet day? where to clean? what bits to spray lubricant on and where to apply greases etc to ensure the car is as it was before being wet?!

I don't run cars so not the best person to answer this but personally I would be going over the car with ACF50. Its a water replant that protects from corrosion etc.

The only thing to avoid with this is anything that does not want to be slippery, like brake discs/pads and pedals etc.

You can go over the engine bay with this stuff with no worries as it is fine with electrics (plus makes things shiny!)

Concentre on anywhere where water has built up and all linkages etc to make sure no corrosion builds.

@bluefunelement

I go for the spray bottle as I just feel its more value for money. Spray on and leave for 10/15 mins then going over with a cloth spreading it out, removing excess and working it into all areas. You can then take the time to visually inspect things as you go over everything.

I keep meaning to look for a different spray bottle that gives a finer spray through as I think this would make it easier to apply as both the spray bottle and aerosol have quite a direct spray.
