My brakes lights stopped working.

Wondering if anyone has a wiring diagram for the rear wiring harness to the lights.

Regular rear tail lights still work if I turn them on with the switch.  Rain light works.

Turn signals work.

Checked power at the connecter (the one you need to unplug to get the rear fiberglass section off) and there is no power going to the pins that should have power when stepping on the brake. (I have changed the round plug to an 8 PIN Deutsch plug on both side of the harness because the round one was coming undone sometimes).

Everything has been working since that plug change over a year ago.

Brake pressure sensors are plugged in and recording proper front/rear brake pressure.

Not sure where this wiring terminates under the cowl section and a diagram would be helpful if anyone has it.

Thanks in advance for any opinions.

@jasonfreed, Here is a link to the car's wiring harness that should help.  https://radicalsportscarregistry.com/sr3-wiring-diagram-life-ecu-and-fi/

The signal for the brake light comes from a brake pressure switch mounted on the chassis on the left side of the engine (down low).  It does not come from the brake pressure sensors that go to the Aim Dash.  It would be worth seeing if you have power and a good ground there.

@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com

excellent - thanks for the info and link.

I'll check it out.

Is it near the valve body thing (black box looking thing that can leak) for the pneumatic shifter?

I'm asking because I did remove that black thing to tighten the tiny screws as I was noticing the air compressor kicking in all the time - the good news is that it worked and the car fills and holds air over night now.

But something else might be broken due to me 🙂

@jasonfreed, Yes it is in the same area so perhaps a wire got damaged?

Here is a graphic that shows where it is.

Update - a big thank you to Charley - the wiring to the brake pressure switch was not fully attached.

I had removed a bunch of zip ties in the area of the pressure switch to get to the valve block (to tighten the little screws so my compressor would not run so often)

Fixed my frequent compressor running and broke my brake lights 🙂

I'm happy to say, it was a simple fix - self induced damage.

Thanks again.
