Hey guys, I'm looking for advice on mirrors. I ran at Sebring yesterday and while I had a great day, I struggled with keeping track of traffic behind me. I was running with about 3 Porsche Cup cars that are just as fast as me in my SR8 (I know -- I'll get better), and I was struggling to know where they were. They wanted to play and would point me by, and then a lap or two later I would point them by.

Some times my right mirror would point to the sky, and sometimes my left mirror would give me a great view of my bodywork and livery. 😕 I adjusted them repeatedly but they kept moving around. I've got the LeMans style with the two set screws -- I tightened them as much as I could, but to no avail.

Is it just a matter of replacing the mirrors? Is there an upgrade out there?

thanks!

That is strange.  My Le Mans mirrors were always rock solid.  Is your problem with the mirror reflective surface moving or the carbon piece moving?

Charley

It's the carbon piece -- the stem -- moving on the mount pad.  I think the housing/mirror surface are ok.

I would remove the mirror from the car and see if something is warn or damaged.  These are normally very solid, so there must be something going on in the joint area.

Thanks Charley. I'll check that.
