Radical Sportscars is on the final countdown to unveiling its all-new road-legal sportscar, the Rapture, via a globally live-streamed presentation on stand #503 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, 09:45 (BST) on Thursday 4th July.
The launch of the Rapture marks a new generation of extreme performance driving from the renowned British marque, bringing the thrill of real downforce from the race track to the road.
Heralding the next step in Radical’s future, the new model builds on decades of pure motorsport heritage to produce the Peterborough-based manufacturer’s most focused road-legal car with phenomenal performance.
Rapture is intended to redefine the track day experience for drivers who demand both track and street-legal performance. Incorporating the company’s latest innovations in powertrain, aerodynamic and electronics technology, the new model offers a pure and unapologetic attack on the senses.
The Rapture will be revealed during a live-streamed presentation from Radical’s exhibition stand #503 at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, before the car makes its inaugural runs up the world-famous hillclimb.
The live-stream will be available at www.radicalsportscars.com from 09.40 on Thursday. The feed will also be available via Radical’s official Facebook page and YouTube channel. I am putting my bet on a new SL type car with high power ford engine and bodywork similar to the latest SR8!
Disappointing, my bet is that they will sell about 12 of them!
Nothing really new,
I was digging the drivetrain: Ford 2.3L 4 cylinder EcoBoost. That'll make a lot of torque, so I'm wondering what gearbox they are using.
I believe it to be a Quaife.
That engine can make a lot more power so I would imagine that the gearbox is the limiting factor.
Right -- if it's the same gearbox that's in the SR8, then that setup will be limited by the gearbox. I was hoping they'd come up with something with a bit more meat on its bones, so to speak.
