Is there a trick to getting it to read the wheel?
Looking in the AiM programming it lists 4 pulses per revolution, it is near the backside of the large bolts through the caliper but no matter what I can't seem to get a signal off of it.
Only past experience is with a motorcycle and the sensor required a magnet in the disk usually.
The back of the bolts don't seem to replicate a magnet.

I don't think there is a trick.  The owner's manual says it should be no closer than 2mm from the brake disc bolts.  I installed one and I may have put it a little closer than that and it works well.

Figured it out! There is indeed no trick, interesting note as well there is a little light on the sensor that triggers when it is the correct distance from a bolt.

My issue was of course simple as usual, wire was pinched somewhere and causing a short.
