my name is Laurens Molenkamp, and I live in Europe, the Netherlands.
I recently bought a Radical SR3. The only drive so far was from the trailer into my garage.... 🙁 . In the spring I'll bring it to a trackday and start using it. In the meanwhile I can get familiar with the car and get it all in the way I like.
One thing I ran into was my trailer. My previous trackday car was a 95 BMW e36 328i, for which my trailer was perfect. I was able to load the SR3, but the deck was a little high and especially the car was much wider and only fitted just. So I bought a new Brian James trailer. It will be delivered somewhere the next weeks.
I'll use the SR3 for trackdays only, at Zandvoort, Spa, Assen, Zolder... when I'm used to car maybe I'll book a trackday at the Nordschleife. I have driven there some trackdays, it's very nice but remains always a challenge. A challenge I only will take when I'm more used to the car and with dry track conditions.
So I have had some trackday cars in the past and when I decided to part from the BMW e36 I had to consider what next. A Porsche Cup car was high on my list, but a little to expensive. And somehow a Radical always had my attention.
