Just bought 2010 SR3 RS Chassis 542. Moved the car from Miami to Tampa. First NASA event at Sebring in June 🙂
Hi @gordon513, Welcome to the Forum!! Congratulations on getting a car with such a rich a history.

Hi Gordon, is it just me or is that track bumpy? Looks quite dangerous in some of those high-speed turns.
@meatman Yes the track is that bumpy. The two high speed bumpy turns (1 & 17) are still the original they have been racing on since the 50's; concrete runway/taxiways from the WWII training base. I have heard this story more than once though I can't verify: European drivers come over for the 12 HR race for the first time and when they start practicing they complain about the stupidity of holding a major international race on such a substandard beat up track, but, by the end of the week they love it. Some people want it cleaned up, but most prefer it this way: it adds to the challenge to both car and driver. "Fixing" it would wash away the history and charm; sort of like restoring a well used and loved classic car may make it look like new, but the history is washed away.
I live in Orlando, but I actually live to drive at Sebring. 🙂
Looks like you're having a great time!
Welcome Gordon. Sebring is an awesome track. Possibly my favorite.
Hey Gordon Sebring is my home track also. I ran an SR3 there for a day and just got an SR10 hope to see you there.
