I'm replacing a broken front A-arm on a new-to-me Prosport, and having an issue getting the pushrod to line up with the new arm.

It looks like one end of the pushrod is not welded square (the photo makes the rod itself look bent, but I don't think it actually is). Is it meant to be like this? (doesn't seem right...)

If I flip the pushrod around, it's less bad but still doesn't line up right. Thoughts?

Following up on my own post; still not clear on whether the end is meant to be angled, but I did find that one of the sleeves was seized in the bushing, possibly due to being over-torqued.

After pressing it out, cleaning the lip off each end of the sleeve with a file and sanding it smooth/round again, it fits with about the same tolerance as the other end (i.e. a bit loose) and that allows the pushrod to fit correctly.

Since the bell crank seems OK, I'm going to cross a few fingers and press on.

I have found that if you torque them to the value in the manual, the spacer gets mushroomed, and the joint gets stiffer. I just torque them by feel, and enough that the metal spacer will not rotate on the bolt.

@graemed Thanks - I read your post on Radical's torque numbers while I was researching this one. 30ftlb does feel a little aggressive for those sleeves, doesn't it?
