here is the latest race from High Plains Raceway, a NASA Rocky Mountain event
excuse the bug,
@graemed nice move on the lotus. He seemed to be driving his mirrors and I was waiting for him to make a mistake!!
Thanks, it shows that it pays to be patient. he tried to return the move at turn 6, while we were lapping a car, but over estimated the stopping ability, and I got him immediately back. then it was just manage the lappers without giving him a gap to shoot for.
here is another clip, talk about "inflation" and then "deflation"
Here is a link to a couple laps on COTA from NASA last weekend. This was first race of the weekend and only 3rd session on the track. Far from my fastest laps in the video but finish 5th overall and 2nd in class. Track is a blast, especially the esses. Smarty Cam died so had to resort to the GoPro
@kitleslie, great video! That looks like a really fun track.
Charley
Here are some highlights from the last race. More of the same, I make passes in the corners and get over taken on the straights!!!
Nice video! Fun to watch the car getting loose in front of you! I noticed your halo seems to be aftermarket. Is it smaller than the standard Radical halo? I am looking for something that is not as wide as the Radical halo to reduce the lateral movement of my head in high G turns.
I needed something to race NASA, couldn't justify the cost of the Radical one and didn't really like how wide it looked. It is actually just 2" Butlerbuilt head restraints, two pieces left and right. Below is link to one of the sides and you can find them cheaper not directly from Butlerbuilt. I butted the ends together riveted them to a couple 1/2" square steel tubes on the back side then bolted that to the car with one of the Radical head pads in the middle. I only have little over $100 into it. It's about 11" inside the pads. It works very well for me.

Posted by: @gwt561324Here are a couple videos I have from Heartland Park in KS and High Plains Raceway in CO.
Nice job around HPR, my home track. Getting an SR3 shipped out and will be running HPR quite a bit. Having not owned a Radical before, this let's me know what to expect. Thanks!
Tommy,
Please start a new thread in the introduction section with some basic info about the car you are getting and your location please. I have hundreds of laps around HPR and am solid with wrenches if you need help. I have my car currently for sale, but will stay involved until I get another. I am located in Golden.
@graemed...will do. You and I met two weeks ago at HPR with Rich Wuerker. We came by and chatted about your car. I will start a new thread in the Intro section.
First weekend at Eagles Canyon Raceway, Decatur Texas. My new favorite track. It has about everything they can throw at you. Video really doesn't do the elevation changes justice.
@kitleslie Is your brake sensor working correctly in the video overlay? I noticed several spots where you have both brake and throttle inputs.
@gwt561324 I noticed that too. I don't have a brake sensor so using inline acceleration instead, I probably need to do a calibration again.
