When I pulled the rear clam off, one of the buffers (A-arm bushing) on the pins fell off and I searched high and low with no luck finding it. Kind of funny that they use a-arm bushings for buffers. Spring Mountain told me that’s a factory thing, I thought it was something the previous owner did. Anyways, looking to see if anybody happens to have an old a-arm bushing (just need one but I’ll buy more 🙂 or if they’ve moved away from those and have a better replacement option.

Call Spring Mountain.  They are really cheap.  Unfortunately it will cost you more to ship it than part cost.  I think they are a few dollars each.  The actual part from the factory is a rubber spacer.  People use the a arm bushings because they are harder and last longer than the original rubber part.  I have used and reordered the rubber part and the a arm bushings and they both work fine but the bushings do last longer.

@charleyhradicalsportscarregistry-com Thanks Charley. I'll give Chris at SM a call tomorrow and order a set.

@graemed, cool thought, checked the ID online even for longboard truck bushings, it’s a bit too small.

Or snag some acetal (Delrin) tubing from McMaster-Carr:

@parsonsj,, Hi John, looks like they have quite a large selection of tubing sizes. I was able to reach spring mountain this morning and got the the OEM rubber bushings for next to nothing, when those wear out I’ll probably go the Delrin route and order from McMaster.
